MailExchange IMAP  returning strange Respons
Hello IMAP Geeks. I am presently working on Incoming mail handler of a business Process. My Mail client is dealing with Mail Server "mail.computercompany.net". overall the behaviour of the application is fine. But sometimes in the case of Attachment in mail its returning me some strange response String as "* OK Reset Timeout". I tried a lot but I cant find any such response text of IMAP. Ignoring this message if I proceed further, the after sometimes it sends wrong/junk data from server and then fetching crashes. I have not yet find any response text like * OK Reset Timeout. This is very new to me and I am very new to IMAP server.Furthermore THIS RESET TIMEOUT is not CONNECTION TIMEOUT, connection is still active and current session too. Is this a server dependent thing? Or is this for specific attachment. I am able to receive same message from another Mail Client. So I cant conclude any thing. please help.- Regards, Bhagyesh Joshi, India.

Please describe the type and the version of your exchange server, problematic mail client and working mail client Please see if the issue can be reproduced on outlook client, or outlook express. If not, the cause can be isolated to mail clientPlease remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question. NO. This is a custom client. We have created a .NET application to fetch Emails and parse them for further process. Now thing is some of the mails that are having larger size are returning wrong data. and before they start returning wrong data they gives * OK Reset Timeout. I dont know whether this is a server specific issue or application problem. Furthermore the server is a normal SMTP/POP server. Not a Exchange Server (I guess..).- Regards, Bhagyesh Joshi, India.

This forum is for exchange product related issues, if the question is on the other mail server, please use associated forums which would be the best for seeking the advice If the server is exchange product, please use the “Development” forum as the issue only happens on the custom client,Please remember to click Mark as Answer on the post that helps you, and to click Unmark as Answer if a marked post does not actually answer your question.
